Timeline of Major Periods

This timeline shows the current list of major periods of studio history, as compiled by studio historians. Since periods are separated by apparent focus and the studio tended to work in a variety of media, many periods have some overlap. In general, there are two classes of historical periods that run concurrently: those focused on interactive content, such as games, and those focused on noninteractive content, such as movies and books.
