Ni-Ki-Oh! Media was a sub-forum in the CES Forum's Downloads, with forum ID #25, from 2006-2009. The sub-forum was intended to contain Ni-Ki-Oh!-related downloadable content, such as video clips, audio files, artwork, and even full episodes.
History
On June 6, 2006, the forum migrated from Simple Machines Forum software to vBulletin, and launched its Downloads section. At this time, the sub-forum Ni-Ki-Oh! Media (#25) was created within the forum category Downloads (#22).
The sub-forum provided various versions of the Ni-Ki-Oh! theme music as MP3s, desktop wallpaper featuring various characters, a special cut of The Vacca Mobile scene, and every episode from The Lost Episodes DVD in MKV format.
However, by July 11, 2006, the specific offering of complete episodes for download had made clear various technical deficiencies in the recently updated forum. While the software could be patched easily, server inadequacies still prevented the service from running smoothly.
On August 3, 2006, content was transitioned to use BitTorrent for data transfer, enabling more consistent downloads of large files such as episodes.
On February 16, 2007, existing content was reorganized into new sub-forums, which were added under Ni-Ki-Oh! Media. The new sub-forums were Images (#65), Soundtrack (#66), and Videos (#67).
On April 15, 2008, the Downloads section was closed for upgrades, but never reopened, making it the last day that "Ni-Ki-Oh! Media" and its files were accessible.
On or about May 11, 2009, the web site's Downloads section was removed, taking the "Ni-Ki-Oh! Media" sub-forum with it.
