The In Development section of the web site began in the exclusive Network Partners forum on February 12, 2006. In 2006, access was limited to administrators, CES Staff, and Network Partners since its opening. The In Development forum became a source of insider information about upcoming staff events, spoilers, and new projects.
When Cracked Egg Studios v6.0 was completed on February 15, 2007, the In Development forum was removed from the Network Partners category, and placed on this page, accessible under the Special Features header on the left side navigation menu.
In September 2007, the In Development forum was removed completely, replaced by the vBulletin Project Tools addon. Many previously hidden areas became open to the generic public.
As of 2023, it is currently believed that the In Development project was hidden again and effectively became defunct during the upgrade to vBulletin 4 and the site redesign that launched with it in May 2010.[1] It is currently not even accessible by staff, except by restoring data in the company archives.
