Thirteen Prophecies was the second recorded song about HoJeong Park, produced by Ted Phillips and performed by David Collura in February 2006. Since then, several versions of the song have been released, popularized after the release of the studio album HOJAID/2007.
History
In February 2006, David Collura decided to record a second improvised song about HoJeong Park; this one would describe prophecies foretelling his birth. The first attempt was a song called Three-Headed Goat, but Collura decided to scrap the idea mid-recording because it went nowhere. The next attempt was successful and told of the first three of thirteen prophecies about HoJeong Park. This original recording, called The Thirteen Prophecies (but also variously referred to as Prophesies 1-3 or The Thirteen Prophecies of HoJeong's Birth), became available for digital download from the Cracked Egg Studios web site on June 6, 2006. It was available there until the Downloads became defunct in 2008.
The third track on HOJAID/2007, released in 2007, was a digital remastering of the original recording.
The band Gorath-Ur and the Riding Yaks performed an extended version of "Thirteen Prophecies" during HOJAID/LIVE on August 6, 2007, in which they completed thirteen prophecies and implied that there were at least forty-seven in total.
