- Nick Phillips begins pre-production for the video game Donkey Kong Universe: Kongs in Space.
- April
- Ted and Nick Phillips begin pre-production for a live-action Donkey Kong Country film.
- The Philip D. Engeldrum Club is established.
- June
- Nick Phillips produces the real estate reality show The Nick Show at Grampa's House.
- Ted Phillips begins filming the stop-motion Return to the Lost World: Jurassic Park under the working title "Jurassic Park 2."
- June 20
- Ted Phillips has "the weirdest birthday party in the history of mankind."
- June 21
- Nick and Ted's Excellent Game produces the computer game Croquet Capers.
- July
- Ted Phillips begins planning the live action film The Return to the Lost World: Jurassic Park.
- October
- Bill Como gifts Ted and Nick Phillips the white computer, with the pre-existing operating system Nick and Ted's Excellent Computer, for software and game development.
- November
- Ted Phillips, Mike Berrios, and Troy Haddock produce a prototype of the board game Colonopoly.
- Ted Phillips begins rewriting the computer operating system Nick and Ted's Excellent Computer as Teddy 97.

- Ted Phillips writes the holiday story Rudolph Quits!
