The site's finally back after a week of downtime following the forum upgrades, as we proceeded to upgrade the entire site.
The last CES Site Layout v3.0 was a bland black, gray, and white layout with sidebars containing items that should have been but weren't links, but which also had higher browser compatibility than previous versions of the site. The main reason for the version jump was the conversion to the use of SSI.
Now, an upgrade of this proportion is worth a 2-level step in version count. The site has been rewritten with PHP templates rather than SHTML and the forum has been completely integrated into the site. Now forum members might be less likely to skip to the forum index, missing crucial site news, as they are able to access site content more easily without needing multiple browser windows open. The color scheme is the same as CES Forum v4.0, the site banner has been reduced in size, and therefore everything is much more visually appealing. Categories in the side menu can now be expanded and collapsed by clicking the +/- signs. As in the forum, the link map at the top of the page shows you your current position in the site. It is now possible to log-in to your forum account from the main page, and the forum navbar is accessible from every page as well. CES Hosting Plans have now been directly connected to the forum, such that subscriptions are handled there and these members receive additional forum privileges.
The site directory structure has been reorganized, so you will have to reset your bookmarks to match the new page locations and filenames.
