Rising of Evil Spirits

Rising of Evil Spirits was a horror short produced by Ted Phillips. It was recorded on VHS-C format media in November 1996, but was not edited or released to the public until August 8, 2009.

Two dead people, Skeleton and Longmouth, awaken from their graves to settle a score. At first, only Longmouth has a sickle but soon realizes it's an unfair advantage, so he allows Skeleton to use a Hess truck to fight back. Skeleton eventually finds his own sickle and skillfully fences with Longmouth. In all of this, neither makes much progress in killing the other since they are both already dead.

Nick Phillips purchased the Skeleton mask during his trip to Disney World in July 1994. Ted Phillips purchased the Longmouth mask at Odd Job in October 1996. Ellen Rampino purchased the sickles for Nick and Ted Phillips in October 1996.

• The title music is the theme music for the 1987 film Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers.[1]
• The demons' fencing match is interrupted by the theme to the 1989 animated series Beetlejuice.[2]
