History
Pokémon Center was given as a consolation prize to participants at the Pokémon Blue League tournament, which was hosted by the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Club on September 28, 2002. The original version of the card did not include the text "This card can only be activated during your Main Phase 1 and once during the current Duel." As a result, some duels were restarted several times during the card's early days, leading to frustration for tournament attendees and casual players when the duels also had no time limits.
The card was reprinted beginning August 6, 2007 in the DMT2 Tournament Pack, a promotional expansion pack legal during the Cracked Egg Studios-sanctioned Duel Monsters Tournament II.
