Meeting #14 is the club meeting that took place on Saturday, June 8, 2002 in the living room of 35-D Edgewater Park. It resulted in Amendment VIII.
Background
Although Michael Berrios had been elected president because of his promises for member salaries of U.S. currency, he realized that he could not uphold his promises because he did not have a job. He resigned as president in early May 2002, and the vice president Ted Phillips became the new president.
While the Duel Monsters Tournament was in progress, Nick Phillips attempted to keep a regular occurrence of meetings. He released a newsletter on June 3 that announced a 2:30 meeting for June 8.

The Meeting
When the day arrived, it seemed that members were not around for the meeting. However, by chance, Michael Berrios wanted to hang out with Ted that day. Ted and Nick's mom drove them to Mike's house to pick him up, and they stopped at 7-11 on the way back. Back at 35-D, Ted and Mike played a game on Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories, which counted as a duel for the tournament (so, a star chip and a victory point were on the line).
When things quieted down, the members settled down for a meeting on the living room couch, just to fit the meeting in before Mike left. There were four members present: Ted Phillips, Nick Phillips, Clare Phillips, and Mike Berrios. No one really had any ideas for the meeting except Nick thought that there should be a minimum required number of members for a meeting to take place. But what should the number be? Three members? We did that for Meeting #6. Four members? The current meeting had four members. Or should it be a function of the size of the club? 50% of the club's members? 2/3 of the club's members? Mike said that if the rule were three members, then there could be a meeting without anyone coming over. He suggested five members, and although Nick thought it strange that he would suggest invalidating the current meeting, the group agreed with Mike's wisdom.

Conclusion
And thus we now have Amendment VIII, the law that there must be five members present for a meeting to take place. This was announced in the History section of the very next week's newsletter (since the History section had caught up to the present time).
So the next meeting would definitely have a more sizable representation of the club's populace. But until that time, the club was bustling with excitement as everyone had fun playing card games in the summertime.
