  2. Masters of Duels

A duelist is a person who plays the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The top four duelists in the Free United Club of Kids are known as the Masters of Duels.

Bandit Rich (Richard Falantano)

Bandit Rich is the most powerful duelist in the club, known as the Master of the Masters of Duels. This is his story. The first Master of Duels Contest took place in July 2003 to decide the greatest duelist, in which Bandit Rich lost to both Pegasus and Seto Vacca in the first round, using a Maha Vailo and Relinquished deck. In Master of Duels II in November 2003, he chose not to compete. Master of Duels III took place in January 2004, where he defeated Niki Moto's Exodia deck in the final round (with a little help from Forsaken, who lent him cards like Tribe-Infecting Virus and Guardian Sphinx) (after having also defeated Great Terra, Jofuf Juftuf, and Pegasus), earning himself the title of Master of Duels and the promo cards Ingarfieldthe, Half-Fare Metro Card, and Rebirth Staff. The "Master of Masters of Duels" tournament took place to decide who among the Masters of Duels was truly the greatest. Everyone dueled each other in matches, and the victories were recorded as points. Using a water deck, Bandit Rich defeated Pegasus three times, Loser two times, and Forsaken once, for a total of six points. Forsaken also accumulated six points, so the two duelists had a final match to break the tie. Bandit Rich was victorious two-to-one and became the Master of Masters of Duels.

Forsaken (William Mazzariello)

Forsaken is the second most powerful duelist in the club. This is his story. When the first Master of Duels Contest took place in July 2003 to decide the greatest duelist, he was not yet a member. He joined the club just in time for Master of Duels II in November 2003, where he used a Dragon deck. He defeated Loser and Jofuf Juftuf but lost to Seto Vacca, earning himself third place. Master of Duels III took place in January 2004, where he defeated Pegasus but lost to Niki Moto and then to Pegasus. In March 2004, Master of Duels IV took place. Forsaken made use of the new expansions to the card game and made a Shinato deck. He defeated Loser (who used a Warrior deck) and then Niki Moto (who used a Deck Destruction Virus deck) to become a Master of Duels. The "Master of Masters of Duels" tournament took place to decide who among the Masters of Duels was truly the greatest. Everyone dueled each other in matches, and the victories were recorded as points. Forsaken defeated each of others twice, for a total of six points. Bandit Rich also accumulated six points, so the two duelists had a final match to break the tie. Forsaken was not victorious, so he became the Master of Duels #2.

Pegasus (Theodore Phillips)

Pegasus is the third greatest duelist in the club. This is his story. The first Master of Duels Contest took place in July 2003 to decide the greatest duelist. Pegasus used his famous deck-out deck he had been developing his entire Yu-Gi-Oh! career. He defeated Bowser (with a female deck), Bandit Rich (Maha Vailo/Relinquished deck), Jofuf Juftuf (effect deck), and Niki Moto (Ra deck) in order that he might reach the final round. Seto Vacca attempted to defeat Pegasus by using a deck of around 125 cards so that Pegasus wouldn't deck him out. However, Pegasus also changed his deck to an Injection Fairy Lily deck and took him by surprise, winning the match, the contest, and the title "Master of Duels." In Master of Duels II in November 2003, Pegasus competed again, using a Dark Paladin deck, but lost to Seto Vacca in the first round. Master of Duels III took place in January 2004, where he lost to Forsaken, defeated Bowser, lost to Loser, defeated Forsaken, and lost to Bandit Rich, earning himself third place and the promo card Rebirth Staff. The "Master of Masters of Duels" tournament took place to decide who among the Masters of Duels was truly the greatest. Everyone dueled each other in matches, and the victories were recorded as points. Using his reconstructed deck-out deck, Pegasus defeated Forsaken once and Loser once for a total of two points. He and Loser received the two lowest numbers of points, so the two duelists had a match to decide who would be third and fourth. Pegasus won the match and became the Master of Duels #3.

Loser (Alejandro Zuleta)

Loser is the fourth best duelist in the club. This is his story. When the first Master of Duels Contest took place in July 2003 to decide the greatest duelist, he was not yet a member. He joined the club before Master of Duels II in November 2003, where he used a Warrior deck, losing to Forsaken in the first round. Master of Duels III took place in January 2004, where he defeated Great Terra and Pegasus, earning himself fourth place and the promo card Rebirth Staff. In March 2004, Master of Duels IV took place. Loser lost to Forsaken in the first round. In June 2004, Master of Duels V occurred. Loser defeated Niki Moto's Exodia deck in the first round by using Relinquished to take over Gearfried the Iron Knight. In the final round, Kurama summoned Exodia Necross in defense mode while Loser had Airknight Parshath on the field; the game was clinched for Loser, and he became the Master of Duels. The "Master of Masters of Duels" tournament took place to decide who among the Masters of Duels was truly the greatest. Everyone dueled each other in matches, and the victories were recorded as points. Using a beatdown deck, Loser defeated Forsaken once, Bandit Rich once, and Pegasus twice, for a total of four points. He and Pegasus received the two lowest numbers of points, so the two duelists had a match to decide who would be third and fourth. Loser lost the match and became the Master of Duels #4.
