This New Year's Eve, Cracked Egg Studios showcased its edit of Kingdom Hearts: Special Edition. The Special Edition was a rerelease of the Kingdom Hearts DVD Collection from 2004, with some major changes. The quality of the videos was much higher than its previous release. The cutscenes featured were almost exclusively from the Japanese Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix (2003) game. Viewers are now given balanced amounts of time to read speech bubbles. New Final Mix cutscenes and enemies are featured, while the length of the compilation is at least 20 minutes less than its former release.
Despite the studio's initial promise, the collection was not compressed to a single disc, in an attempt to preserve the quality with which it pride's itself. In addition to the Final Mix portion, an additional 2 discs includes the entire Chain of Memories saga, adding an additional five-and-a-half hours to prepare viewers for the upcoming release of Square-Enix's Kingdom Hearts 2. A seventh disc includes all the same special features from the original collection, but including over twice as many trailers for the series than before.
Cracked Egg Studios hopes this collection rejuvenates a yearning for Kingdom Hearts 2 as we await its North American arrival this Spring. The studio plans to release its Kingdom Hearts 2 DVD collection, containing only Kingdom Hearts 2 material and a 10-minute official trailer, within 2 weeks of its American release.
"The Lost Pyramid" has been scheduled for release some time August 2006.
"Pokemon: Black Version" is scheduled for a Summer 2007 release.
Duelist Kingdom is in its final stages of production.
The World According to Maximillion Pegasus is in its final stages of production.
Final Genesis Beta preview scheduled for January 24, 2006.
The Lost Episodes: Special Edition, Duelist Kingdom, and The World According to Maximillion Pegasus are scheduled for final release before the final release of Final Genesis.
