Trouble in Gotham

This page is a chapter in The Real Phantasm: Batman
It was the middle of Fall, and Batman was on a hike in the mountains.

At exactly 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, Bruce tripped over something very unusual. It wasn't any kind of rock or crystal, just a piece of metal -- which meant -- the phantasm was back.

"Oh no," cried Bruce. "Not again!"

B-O-O-R-R-R-O-O-O-M!-!-! Gotham city went up in flames. Bruce rapidly raced back to Gotham city. By going almost two hundred miles per hour he caught up with the Phantasm. The flaming city lit up the darkness. "Joker," said Bruce. "This time you've gone too far," and he didn't notice the phantasm. After the Batmobile disappeared, the phantasm unmasked himself to the Joker.

"Ah," he said. "How do ya think of such schemes? Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!"

Back in the city tower, "Hmm... this is queer," thought Batman. "There's armies of Joker and that steel guy, whatever his name is."

"Hey, Batsy, look who's here. Hey it's me your old uncle Wayne, and here lies your doom. Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!"

The armies came marching toward Batman.

If he went off the building he would be the world's first filet. And any other escapes were guarded by marching machines.

"Wait a second. I could glide over these guys," he said. "Well, let's see you try!" laughed Joker.

"Yeah!" replied the robots.

Coming around the building was mini joker-faced hellacopters. Batman took his chance. The copter tore his cape to shreds. He fell rapidly down to the flames.

But he grabbed the gutter. And as that happened the fire began to rise.

A Joker raised its knife into the air, preparing to make Batman let go.

Suddenly loud rumbling started. "Sorry, Batsy, but I have to go. Bon Voyage! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! Uh-oh," Just then Andrea arrived to save her love. "Don't you ever quit?!"
