CES Thread Headers was a software plugin developed by Cracked Egg Studios that extended the features of NuHit's vBWiki Pro. It was written February 27, 2007, and published the following day at nuhit.com. It was discontinued on or about April 17, 2007.
By default, vBWiki Pro allowed users to embed a wiki page at the top of a forum's thread list, a feature called "forum headers."
Cracked Egg Studios wished to take this idea one step further, and began programming this plugin. In CES Thread Headers, it became possible for each thread to have a different wiki page embedded at the top as well.
The plugin was in use on crackedeggstudios.com until about April 17, 2007, when Cracked Egg Studios installed NuWiki and began migrating The Vault to use that software instead of vBWiki Pro. At first, the new version of NuWiki appeared to have thread headers by default, so the studio discontinued this plugin at that time. However, it turned out that NuWiki's concept of the feature was significantly less powerful, so Cracked Egg Studios began developing a similar plugin CES NuWiki Headers on June 7, 2007.
The studio did not maintain copies of discontinued software prior to 2014. It was believed that no copies of this plugin existed anymore, until November 1, 2024, when an archived copy of a nuhit.com page was discovered on Wayback Machine that contained all of the original source code.
