Prices Slashes - Lightscribe Media Dropped

Two days ago, Cracked Egg Studios made a decision to drop the new Lightscribe media for good. The new DVD media had been used in the initial printing of the Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix SE DVD Collection and resulted in beautiful label images inscribed directly on the surface of the discs.

However, throughout the printing process, the Lightscribe media proved to be very unreliable, as the failure rate of Lightscribe discs during this time was 60-70%. This increase in production cost trickled down to the customer, meaning that the initial distribution of the Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix SE DVD Collection had unusually high retail value.

Cracked Egg Studios has decided to revert back to the standard labeling process for all of its future projects, allowing price reductions on all titles, but most significantly for Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix SE, which has plummeted from $19.99 to $12.99.

Cracked Egg Studios publicly announces that they no longer support Lightscribe products, and strongly discourage anyone from wasting the extra funds to purchase Lightscribe drives and the insanely overpriced and failure-frequent Lightscribe discs. The technology has yet to be perfected.
