The Hard Drive Crash of 1999 was a data loss event incurred by corrupt operating system files in Windows 95 on the IBM Aptiva computer system used by Ted and Nick Phillips, that occurred some time during 1999 when Ted attempted to piggyback off the dialup connection on the IBM Computer so that both systems could have internet access.
