Michael Berrios, born on December 22, 1987, was a member of the club from 2001 to 2003. His involvement in the club sprouted from his friendship with Theodore Phillips. They both attended St. Benedict School during their grammar school years, best friends since Teddy borrowed a pencil from Mike in the first grade.

Initiation

Although Mike was one of the three prominent men, he was not included in the list of club members. When the Pokémon Trainers Club was founded in March 2000, Michael Berrios was recognized as a Gym Leader, holding the Sky Badge because he used Dragon Pokémon and powerful Flying Pokémon such as the Legendary Birds. However, he was unrecognized as a member until the Pokémon Gym Leader system was considered solely a club activity. In June of 2001, he graduated from St. Benedict School, weakening his communication with Ted, although they did keep in touch by Internet. On October 5, 2001, secretary Nick Phillips wrote Mike a letter recognizing him as a club member. Included with that letter were newsletters and his salary. That is also the date on which the newsletter first mentioned him.

Inactivity

Mike was rarely able to attend meetings, or even receive newsletters for that matter, mainly because he did not live in Edgewater Park, but in an obscure corner of Pelham Bay. His only connection to the club was through his communication with Ted. This made it difficult for him to pay the 100% Income Tax.

Slight Increase

Even though Mike was unable to collect Gym Badges, he was still able to participate in the Pokémon Red League in February 2002 because he passed the Goku challenge. He was able to earn enough points battling in order to reach the semifinals of the Pokémon League. One of the real-life Pokémon he used was a Muk with the Substitute attack. However, when it came time for his semifinal battle against Rich F., he was not present. The trainers decided to give Mike until 6:00 P.M. to show up, but he never did, causing Rich F. to win by default.

Mike was also a Gym Leader for the Blue Pokémon League, holding the Dragon Badge.

Mike was present at Meeting 13 on April 5, 2002. At this meeting he proposed one new law—everyone has to be contacted before a meeting. That law was passed with 100% of the popular vote. He was also nominated a Presidential Candidate and made a speech promising all members a salary of American currency. He received 66% of the popular vote and became President for the Spring 2002 term, with Teddy Phillips as his Vice President. However, near the beginning of May, Mike resigned from presidency because he knew he would be unable to pay the members.

Mike also attended the next meeting on June 8. From that meeting came the law that a meeting can only take place if at least five members are present.

Mike was also a participant in the preliminary round of the Duel Monsters Tournament, using a Dark Duel Stories GBC game to duel.

Exile

After that, Mike did not participate in the club; the gap grew larger and larger. The last mention of Mike's membership in the newsletter was on January 7, 2003. The next newsletter, printed on August 27 of that year, excludes him from the list of members.
