Despite the fact that Internet Explorer 6.0 has to be one of the worst browsers ever made, over 80% of our site traffic insists on using it - even now that IE8 has been released. We have always had problems with this browser, and since our switch to the vBulletin software in 2006, our site has not looked quite right even in IE7.
Well, we closed our site for a few hours today while we fixed all the Internet Explorer quirks we could find with the existing layout. Now that the site is reopened we can say that it should display (relatively) the same across all browsers back to Internet Explorer 5.0.
These compatibility changes have only been applied to our layout, so any other site features that were previously not working will probably still not work in earlier versions of Internet Explorer.
