The original card was created by Joseph Justus in 2002 using Microsoft Paint and was featured in the Noey Productions short 0009 & 0008. The card image shown here is a screen grab from that short, rotated and skewed to standard card proportions. As in the short, the card's name was commonly mispronounced as "Tyrantio Magnesio." Because of the card's low production value, lack of a monster level, and its unique existence in the hands of its creator Joseph Justus rather than given out as a prize, it was forbidden from casual and tournament play.

Tiyranto Magnasio was reprinted beginning August 6, 2007 in the DMT2 Tournament Pack, a promotional expansion pack legal during the Cracked Egg Studios-sanctioned Duel Monsters Tournament II. Since no copy of the original card was known to exist at the time, and memories were only of the mispronounced card name and not much of other details, it was reprinted as follows:
